First Interstate Bank (Fountain Place); Dallas, TX

PATE provided engineering services for First Interstate Bank, a 54-story office tower, which included a below grade garage and utilities for a future tower, hotel and retail facility. Services included survey, planning, right-of way analysis, geometric control of structures, storm drainage design, water and sanitary sewer design and road expansion. Providing geometric controls, PATE paid close attention to alignment tolerances, in addition walkways, landscaping and the use of waterfalls allotted for innovation in creating aesthetically pleasing grade transitions. Located at the intersection of Ross Avenue, Field Street and Munger Avenue, PATE provided extensive designs for roadway renovations. The existing 7-foot horseshoe storm drain was removed, redesigned and built along Munger Avenue. New water and sanitary sewer mains were designed for Ross Avenue and Field Street. Field Street was realigned and added a left turn lane, and the Ross intersection was widened.
