Regulatory agencies define policies, procedures and permits to protect water quality and manage water flows for the communities they serve. PATE's experience ranges from the development of regional flood control and detention programs, to the preparation of FIRM maps and the supporting analyses for this mapping, to the design of storm sewer systems. A consistent issue in drainage involves mitigation of impact due to increased levels of imperviousness from ongoing development. PATE has extensive background in understanding and successfully addressing this issue. PATE designs combine function, reliability and innovation to meet the demands of managing water flows to protect people, property and the environment.

Storm Sewers

Storm sewers provide convenience drainage for roads and adjacent properties. Land planners for public and private entities strive to protect the communities they serve while developing master plans that are implemented with limited disruption to daily activities. PATE performs hydraulic analyses of public storm sewer systems and their physical construction parameters including the impacts on roadway design and the drainage of adjacent property. PATE's experience successfully incorporates municipal, county and state resources while evaluating varying scenarios to develop effective drainage plans. By utilizing PATE's internal survey, planning, design and construction services, the company is able to develop implementation plans that are timely and within budget.

Flood Control

PATE has a long and successful history of innovative projects that mitigate the potential for flooding in flood-prone areas. Our experience with flood control includes preparation of FIRM maps and Letters of Map Revision and Amendments.
