This 5.3-mile project was designed in accordance with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) criteria. The project is a two and four-lane rural highway with paved shoulders in a heavily wooded area extending from State Highway 105 to Interstate Highway 45. The scope of work included topographic surveying and mapping, schematic design preparation, environmental assessment including noise and air quality analyses, preparation of right-of-way map and parcel acquisition surveys, drainage analysis of the roadside ditch system including driveway culverts, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of stream crossings, design of a bridge and several culvert crossings, utility relocation design, signage and pavement marking design, signalization design, preparation of traffic control plans, and preparation of final plans, specifications, and cost estimate.
