One of the basic, key quality of life factors in communities is the availability of park space for a multitude of active and not so active uses. While landscape architects, park planners and recreational experts will define the desired usage of a park space, the civil engineering component is critical to establishing the usefulness of the space. Site drainage, parking availability and access, and water/wastewater services are key elements of park spaces. PATE works closely with park design/client/user teams to provide the civil engineering functions within the scope of the user design needs for park space.

PATE often teams with well-respected, innovative landscape architects on these park projects to develop creative designs for intramural athletic fields, water gardens, playground facilities, pavilion facilities and hike and bike trails.
