PATE was responsible for the design of this major regional wastewater treatment plant, which was constructed in phases. The initial phase was a 2-MGD plant, which was later expanded to handle 18 MGD. Final expansions of the plant enabled it to maintain a flow of 60 MGD. The two-level lift station, which receives flow from the 108-inch West District Diversion sewer tunnel, has a pumping capacity of 75,000 gallons per minute. The scope of work included flow projections, service area planning and permitting, preparation of construction plans and specifications, and construction management.
