PATE is currently providing design, onsite construction observation and coatings inspection services for this aggressive ongoing program to upgrade the City of Houston's potable elevated and ground water storage tank facilities. The City created this ongoing program to systematically upgrade the standards of its approximately 225 water storage tanks. PATE's role in this extensive program involves the detail inspection, design of improvements and construction management for approximately 125 tanks, and the preliminary design and construction management of 30 new and replacement tanks over a 14-year period. The multi-contract project has included the rehabilitation and design of new tanks ranging from 0.25 MG to 8.0 MG. In conjunction with lead detection on 50 of the tanks, PATE developed detailed specification requirements for environmental protection of adjacent sites worker safety and debris disposal. PATE is also providing onsite construction observation and coatings inspection services during the rehabilitation process. Copyright © 2008 Pate Engineers, Inc. |
