News 2005 TCEC Engineering Excellence Awards
2005 Texas CEC Engineering Excellence Awards The Engineering Excellence Awards Competition has been held by the Texas Council of Engineering Companies since its inception in 1975 to honor and recognize outstanding achievements within the engineering community. PATE has been honored again with 2 awards, one Gold and one Silver medal, in the following categories respectively:
The Almeda Road Cave-In is a two time winner earning a Silver medal in the 2004 Texas CEC Engineering Excellence Awards for investigative work. In 2004,

PATE, for
its work on HCFCD Unit W129-00-00 Outfall Evaluation, went on to be a
national finalist for the American Council of Engineering Companies' (ACEC),
Engineering Excellence Awards.
TxDOT Selects PATE for $154 Million Design/Build Toll Road Project PATE is serving as Lead Engineer for the $154 million design/build toll facility recently awarded by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This 7.4 mile, four-lane toll road will become an east-west connection between the SH-130/US-183 interchange and I-35 in Travis County, Texas. The project will include 17 bridges at channels and street crossing, cut and fill retaining walls with heights of 35-ft and main-lane toll plaza and four-ramp toll plazas.
